19th Australasian Universities Power Engineering Conference: Sustainable Energy Technologies and Systems
The 19th Australasian Universities Power Engineering Conference (AUPEC '09) will be held in Adelaide from the 27th to 30th September, 2009. AUPEC is the premier conference in electrical power engineering in Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia. It is supported by the Australasian Committee for Power Engineers (ACPE), the University of Adelaide, Flinders University, Engineers Australia, Australian Power Academy (APA), IEEE and IET.
The theme of this year's conference is "Sustainable Energy Technologies and Systems". The conference will primarily provide a forum for both university and industry researchers and experts in power engineering to discuss and exchange knowledge and ideas, present research activities and describe future projects. In addition, it is dedicated to educate and inspire participants to make meaningful contributions to society by becoming more familiar with sustainable energy technologies and systems.
The four-day program of the conference aims to gather together young researchers, senior academics, industry representatives and internationally-recognized keynote speakers in the area of power engineering. In the first day of the conference, two tutorials will be offered covering state-of-the-art developments in the areas of wind power systems, power electronics, and associated power engineering technologies. The parallel technical sessions will run during the next three days and there will be a keynote speech each morning. Pre and post conference activities will also be organized for the participants and their guests.
